MORLAND BREWING “OLD SPECKLED HEN” ENGLISH FINE ALE draft beer tap handle. This specific beer was f. Irst brewed in 1979 to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the MG car factory. There are now a few other Hens pouring in the new Greene’s Kings Bury St. Old Crafty Hen, Old golden Hen and Old hoppy hen. The name for this brew was derived from the MG shop car that was parked outside the paint shop covered in splattered paint from the years of service in the shop. They nick named her rightfully so. “Owld Speckl’d Un”. The beers badge on the lower part of the handle even resembles the logo for the MG. Very rare and desirable tap. I found another one. It is new and unused. The fox is dressed to kill and taking a chill. Watching out over the baby hens. After all they make the beer. Really heavy and well-crafted handle. Handle is ceramic with fat brass fitting and the Bad Ass little fox feels like rubber. Tap handle has been turned and rotated so all sides are pictured.
