FIRE ISLAND BEER COMPANY LIGHTHOUSE ALE draft beer tap handle. A vacation destination away from the city. Located on the southern shores of Long Island. A thin stretch of land where very few vehicles are permitted to travel, and the deer roam free like wild mice. Taking a hit from major hurricanes. Lighthouse Ale is one of the 2 regular beers they brewed. American red, amber ale. Beer is now retired. The tap is very collectible. A piece of history. It has been gently used but not abused. It remains in excellent collectible condition. The keg has some minor imperfections, some from the casting of the barrels edge but nothing bad. Beautiful black and white Fire Island lighthouse speared through a wooden keg. You can see the deer jumping over the kegs on the label. That’s why they stopped leaving the beer outside. No one like a drunk Buck. I have seen 3 different, but similar versions of this lighthouse handle. This one appears to be an early one and it has no windows painted on it. Barrel is shaped different, stem is thinner, smaller sticker, it’s 2 inches shorter and has a semi-clear frosted window instead of amber. Still has a big, bold look. Rare and very collectible. (See my other listing for a different version). The actual stone light house is 180 feet tall and has been in operation since 1858. It stands on the south shores of Long Island. The light was decommissioned in 1974. 10 years later they started a fund to preserve it and again, it was restored and brought to active duty in 1986. This tap stands 11 inches tall. Tap has been turned and rotated till all sides are shown. This is the actual item you will receive. Reweries are popping up all over the place and a select few advertise their Specialty beers with tap handles as nice as this one. Sometimes even factory handles have minor flaws. If the item has noticeable flaws, it will be mentioned in description. I usually respond quite fast. USA buyers only please. Always leave great feedback or contact me first. I will do what I can to make it right. This item is in the category “Collectibles\Breweriana, Beer\Tap Handles, Knobs\Other Beer Tap Handles, Knobs”.
