









RARE FORTY 40 ARPENT BREWING LOUISIANA WETLANDS SWAMP GRASS NEW BASIN MILK STOUT draft beer tap handle. Old Arabia, New Orleans. Michael Naquin built the brewery from the ground up and it finally opened in 2014. Closing in 2017 due to non-renewal of lease. Located just 15 minutes from the Arpent Observatory in Chalmette. Staying in line with the St. Bernard culture, they named the brewery after the 40 Arpent Canal. He and his friends would fish, and paddleboat there when they were younger. Arpent’ is a unit of land measured in the French colonia era. The King of France gave out these waterway lots sized to 6 Arpents wide and 40 Arpents deep to help the Louisiana residents develop their land and water their crops. Sometimes referred to as the Florida canal. Local anglers call it’Da Forty’. It runs parallel to the great Mississippi. Known for great fishing, boating, canoeing, kayaking, paddleboarding and impressive nature observation. This tap is featuring their first and flagship brew. 40 Arpent Milk Stout. Dark and creamy with notes of roasted malts, bread crust, roasted pecans, brown sugar and chocolate. Short lived and retired. Listed as used and shows a few imperfections. Green reeds and swamp plants with a few scattered purple wildflowers from the shores of the Arpent canal. The circular label above shows a tossed stone rippling water effect on the brewery numbers that lie between the grassy shores that outline 40 Arpent Canal. Milk Stout curved label at the top. Looks a little different on either side. This tap has only been seen a few times and considered rare. Stands about 11 inches tall. Tap has been turned and rotated so that all sides are pictured. This is the actual item you will receive. Stand is not included. I try to take the best pictures from many angles so you can judge for yourself.
