REDHOOK BREWING STARTED IN 1981, WITH THEIR FIRST BEER RELEASE IN 1982 AND STILL GOING STRONG. THIS HANDLE IS VERY UNIQUE AND RARE IN A FEW WAYS. FIRST OF WHICH IT WAS MADE IN 2003 AND THE ONLY YEAR IT WAS MADE ACCORDING TO THE MANUF > BY A BOBBLE HEAD PRODUCING COMPANY. THE HANDLE WAS A PROMOTIONAL HANDLE ONLY AND LOW NUMBERS OF THEM WERE MADE. SEE PIC FOR PLACARD. NEW IN ORIGINAL BOX, USED FOR SPECIAL EVENTS AT THE TIME. WHEN LOOKING AT THE BOTTOM IT IS STAINED INSIDE THE INSERT AND OUT, WITH WHAT LOOKS LIKE A STAIN FINISH THAT WAS USED ON THE UPPER PORTION? / IT’S A GREAT HANDLE WITH ATTENTION TO DETAIL AND HEAVY FOR BEING 8ISH IN. REASON WHY LOT OF CERAMICS HAVE THESE FRACTURES STARTING UP FROM THE INSERT. Note: FOR MANY NEW, SMALL SCALE, LOW VOLUME BREWERIES THAT ARE TRYING TO BE SUCCESSFUL, DID NOT WANT TO SPEND LIMITED FUNDS ON HANDLES, LOGO-ED PINTS AND SUCH. A NUMBER OF THEM PRODUCED THEIR OWN TAP HANDLES, OR USED LOCAL ARTISTS TO CREATE THEM???? MAKING MANY OF THESE RARE AND LIMITED ONE OF KIND HANDLES….
