Red River Valley was a introduction to craft beer by Stroh’s Brewery by a division of the company in using the Northern Plains Brewing Company in St. Red River Valley Select Lager. They referred to it as’A regional premium specialty beer’. It was released in limited markets out West. Some information shows as it being from Miller. Coppery brown brew with caramel malts with earth tone hops. Poured 30 years ago. Tap is listed as used. It remains in excellent display condition. Minimal wear only on back label only. This distillery started out as The Old Fire Copper Distillery in the 1800′s. Surviving a catastrophic lightning strike, devastating flood, prohibition and constant rivalries from various competitors. It is the oldest bourbon distillery in America. It even stayed active during prohibition to provide alcohol for medicinal purposes. Their bourbon is made from the finest corn, rye and barley malt; then aged in new oak barrels. That’s 90 proof! Taste is rich and complex with notes of vanilla, toffee, candied fruit and oak.
